Business Development Manager

GEM Mobile Treatment Services, Inc. (GEM MTS), a leader in mobile water treatment, tank degassing and vapor control services, is searching for a seasoned account manager for our Gulf Coast territory. Qualified candidates will be responsible for all sales & marketing related activities including new business strategy/execution, presentation/proposal preparation and customer support for all lines of service offered by GEM MTS. This position requires an individual with proven success at developing new business and maintaining long-term customer relationships. Sales experience in the chemical/petroleum industrial sector is required. A bachelor's degree or related field is a plus. Assistant Operations Manager

LOCATION: La Porte , TX

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum five years experience in environmental equipment operation and maintenance or related service industry experience. Strong hands on background in managing multiple site projects, multiple crews. Valid drivers' license. CDL Class “A” a plus. Successful pre-employment physical including drug screen and background check. TWIC Card.

Job Description:

A GEM MTS Assistant Operations Manager has a wide variety of responsibilities including: managing the transportation and set up of GEM MTS equipment to and from multiple job sites among the Gulf Coast and US. Understand the operation of GEM MTS equipment, such as: Vapor Control Systems, Vapor Combustion Units and Waste Water Treatment processes. Training will be provided on GEM MTS equipment operation, maintenance, safety and other standards necessary to perform the job safely and properly.

The Assistant Operations Manager specific job will be tailored to their abilities, skills, experience, and willingness to learn and grow. This position is available for the right person who can prove their abilities and desire to advance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of all field operators.
  • Operation of GEM Processing Equipment
  • Employee training, orientation and assessment.
  • Craft Certification
  • Scheduling of personnel for projects based on the operational needs for both the customer and overhead projects.
  • Timesheet management
  • Deal with personnel issues including disciplinary actions.
  • Project management, coordination, job setup, job walks, etc.
  • Coordinate and implementation, training and assessment of company policy and administrative, safety and operational procedures
  • Review operational logs and field notes for completeness, accuracy and compliance with applicable requirements.

  • Maintenance of all GEM MTS equipment

Requirements:
• Minimum of five (5) years refining and petrochemical plant experience
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug & alcohol screen and hair follicle drug screen
• Pass D.O.T physical exam if required
• Drug free workplace with random testing
• Good driving record with valid Commercial Drivers License Class A w/ hazmat endorsement or C w/ hazmat endorsement
• Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
• Trainable attitude, willingness to learn
• Candidates with Hazardous Material/Maintenance experience are desirable
• Certificated with Basic Plus, CPR, HAZWOPER, TWIC card compliant a must
• Proficient written and verbal skills
• Must be able to work all shifts
• Willing to travel if needed.

Senior Operator

Location: Signal Hill, CA & La Porte , TX

Job Description
:
A GEM MTS Sr. Operator has a wide variety of responsibilities including: Equipment mobilization, setup, operation and demobilization of mobile thermal oxidation units, wastewater treatment equipment and related pollution control equipment. All Sr. operators are given extensive training in equipment operation, maintenance, safety and other standards necessary to perform the job safely and properly.

Each Sr. operator's specific job will be tailored to their abilities, skills, experience, and willingness to learn and grow.

Positions are available for Sr. operators who prove their abilities and desire to advance.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
    Operation of equipment at various locations throughout the Western and Gulf Region
    Customer interface and job management · Compliance with regulatory and company policy
    Following instruction with minimal supervision · Proper chemical safety and handling
    Understanding of hazard communication · Supervision and training of operator trainees
    Operation record keeping
    Parts and supply inventory
    System troubleshooting
    Operator health and safety
