Foreman - Signal Hill, CA

Job Description:

The objective of this position is the management and development of field staff and accounts in a regional market. The Foreman is responsible for field operations related activities including; project supervision, safe work practices, customer interaction and satisfaction, employee supervision and mentoring, and proper equipment use. This position requires an individual with proven success at project management, customer relationship development and has good communication skills. The Foreman works under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, or Operations Manager.

  • Perform Operator Training 
  • Operation Record Keeping
  • Product, Parts, and Supply Inventory 
  • Spill Detection, Mitigation, and Prevention 
  • Quality Control Sampling 
  • Equipment Transportation, Mobilization and Demobilization 
  • Overall Equipment Operations 
  • System Startup 
  • System Troubleshooting 
  • Maintenance Oversight and Scheduling Coordination

Qualifications/Skills:

Minimum three years experience in environmental equipment operation and maintenance or related industry experience. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Successful pre-employment physical (medical card if commercial driver) including drug screen and background check. Drug/Alcohol free. Availability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to report to work on short notice.

  • Review/approve project paperwork for service line.
    • Drivers Logs Weekly 
    • Time tickets daily 
    • DVIR reports 
    • Time sheets 
    • Bill of Ladings 
    • Squawk forms 
    • Work Permits  
    • Monitoring Logs 
  • Ensure staff training is up to date. 
  • Spot Audit Reports due to supervisor monthly. 
  • 60-80% billable time. 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and expectations are met. 
  • Implement company policy and safety programs 
  • Manage all safety and compliance aspects of service line.

  • All Lead Operator training requirements which include: 
    • GEM New Employee Orientation
    • Equipment use training (Hand tools, Meters, …) 
    • Compliance training (Air Compliance Module)
    • Policy and procedures (Vapor Control Equipment)
    • Safety compliance (Safety Module)
    • Various site specific
    • Haz endorsement (Mandatory for drivers)
    • Haz material transportation 
    • 8 hr haz training(HM181)
    • Carbon monitoring (Carbon Module)
    • Scrubber orientation and operation (Scrubber Module)

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands
A Foreman sometimes has a physically strenuous and demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment, materials, and other objects. The Foreman will have to work in all weather conditions, and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold. The Foreman must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
 
Environmental Conditions
The Foreman must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and skin from irritation and infections. The Foreman is exposed to loud operating equipment and industrial noise, and therefore must wear hearing protection. The Foreman is required to wear all issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on a jobsite. Must also be able to wear a respirator as required. 
 
Mental Demands
The Foreman must work independently at times and is expected to maintain a schedule of work. Any problems or inconveniences may result in increased stress to complete tasks.
