Case Studies
Client: U.S. Army Hamilton Airbase
Location: Northern California
Project Description
Provided mobile wastewater treatment services utilizing filtration and activated carbon adsorption to eliminate concentrations of volatile organic hydrocarbons from groundwater recovered from underneath the airbase facility. Multiple groundwater retrieval wells from locations throughout the airbase were connected together at selected sites. The groundwater was pumped to a permitted transportable treatment unit, treated to meet NPDES discharge limits, and then pumped to the on-site outfall discharge point.
Permitting: NPDES
Contaminants: Hydrocarbon
Equipment Used: Filtration, Activated Carbon
Volume Treated: 2.5 Million Gallons
Cost Benefits: Tank Returned to service, significantly less than off site disposal
