Project Description
Provided on-site wastewater treatment services to ALCOA in support of their plant decommissioning operations. Heavy aluminum forming equipment and support systems were cleaned to facilitate equipment salvage, facilities re-use and solid waste management unit closures. All of the contaminated wash water was contained on-site, treated, recycled for additional cleaning wash water or discharged to the POTW operated by the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County . Millions of gallons of contaminated wash water with high concentrations of emulsified oils & greases, heavy metals and phenols were successfully processed throughout the term of the project.
