Case Studies

Client: Petrochemical Refinery

Location: Deer Park, Texas

Project Type: Vapor Control – Sludge Processing

Project Description :

Provided on-site vapor control using mobile vapor combustrion technology to control petrochemical vapors emitted from chemical sludge processing activities. GEM MTS mobilized MVCU equipment to the target tank and provided control over fugitive emissions from a 150-feet diameter above ground storage tank, centrifuge and mix tanks. A mobile vapor combustor was used to destroy chemical vapors while the sludge was mixed and centrifuged. The vapors from the sludge contained significant concentrations of BTEX and other related volatile organic compounds. Also, the target above ground tank was degassed at the conclusion of the chemical sludge removal activities.

Permitting: TCEQ

Vapor Source(s): BTEX and other related volatile organic compounds

Equipment Used: 42MBtu/hr MVCU

Cost Benefits: Low Bidder

Advantage: Able to meet project capacity & exceed schedule requirements
