Case Studies
Client: Major Petroleum Tank Terminal Company
Location: Richmond, California
Project Type: Tank Product Refill Vapor Control
Project Description:
Provided on-site tank vapor control services to facilitate the tank refill operations involving the petroleum movement from a ship in the bay to an aboveground 150-feet diameter floating roof gasoline tank. The product tank refill process was supported by using a mobile vapor combustion unit to comply with air district control standards. The thermal capacity of the MVCU was matched to meet the thermal capacity demand formed by the flow rate of the petroleum product pumped into the tank. The client chose GEM MTS because the schedule required commencing tank cleaning operations on an accelerated schedule, thereby, returning the tank to service ahead of schedule.
Permitting: BAAQMD
Vapor Source(s): Gasoline
Equipment Used: 20MBtu/hr MVCU
Cost Benefits: Reduced degas time by compared to competition
Advantage: Able to Meet Product Flow-rate Needs
